Our mission is to preserve the history of Oakham, Massachusetts, through the collection of artifacts, data, and personal histories, and to encourage residents, visitors, and students to make use of the items for research and personal enrichment.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Held every third Tuesday at 7 p.m. with a work meeting on the first Thursday at 10 a.m. 2026 Open Houses will be held the last Sunday of each month: May 24, June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27, and October 25. *Open House with Presentation by Local Author*
Join us on Sunday, May, 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Oakham Historical Association at 1221 Old Turnpike Road in Oakham. Admission is FREE! Local author and Worcester resident, Andrew Noone, will present a reading and show slides from his book "Bathsheba Spooner" at 1 p.m. "A most horrid piece of villainy", one observer wrote upon hearing of what is now recognized as the most sensational crime of the American 18th century, the revolutionary counterpart to the Lizzie Borden case of the following century. |
